Spoons
This week's family night activity is a classic fast paced card game. It is best played with 4-8 people but you can play with less or more if needed.
What You Will Need:
First things first, gather your players! Spoons is best enjoyed with a group of four to eight people, but you can adjust the number of players based on your preferences. All you need is a standard deck of playing cards and one less spoon than the total number of players. Place the spoons in the center of the table within easy reach of all participants.

How To Play:
Now, let's dive into the rules:
Deal the Cards: One player is designated as the dealer and shuffles the deck of cards. The dealer then deals four cards face down to each player.
Pass the Cards: The dealer selects a card from the remaining deck, removes it, and passes it to the player on their left. This process continues clockwise until someone collects four of a kind. Players must keep their hands secret from others.
Grab a Spoon: Once a player collects four of a kind, they discreetly take a spoon from the center of the table. As soon as other players notice, they can also grab a spoon. Remember, there is always one fewer spoon than the total number of players.
Don't Get Caught Spoonless: The player left without a spoon after each round earns a letter in the word "spoons." Once a player spells out the entire word, they are out of the game.
Last One Standing Wins: The game continues with rounds of card passing and spoon grabbing until only one player remains. This player is declared the winner and earns bragging rights until the next game!
For a quicker game, you can play without having to spell out "spoons" and instead whoever is left without a spoon at the end of a round is just out of the game.
