A Messy Family Game: Egg Drop Challenge

Welcome back to our weekly family night game. This week, we played a hilarious and slightly messy game that had us all cracking up—literally! We call it The Egg Drop Challenge. Check out the details on how to play below, but it is suitable for all ages.

Setting Up the Game

This game is easy to prepare and play. Here’s what you need to do:

Gather Supplies:

  1. A chair

  2. Ladder or stool

  3. Eggs

  4. A large cup

  5. A poncho (if you don't want to get messy)

How to Play

  1. Set Up: Split into teams, one person is the egg cracker and the other is the egg catcher.

  2. Positioning: The egg cracker stands on a step ladder or sturdy stool positioned directly above the egg catcher.

  3. The Drop: The person on the ladder gets an egg and tries to crack it, aiming to drop the yolk directly into the cup held by the person sitting in the chair.

  4. Count the Eggs: Each egg successfully dropped into the cup earns a point. You can set a time limit or a number of attempts for each round.

  5. Rotate: Switch roles so everyone gets a turn both cracking and catching.

  6. Win: Whoever gets the most eggs in the cup wins.

Tips for a Great Egg Drop Challenge

  1. Safety First: Make sure the ladder or stool is stable and placed on a flat surface to avoid any accidents.

  2. Consider the Cleanup: If you’re playing indoors, lay down some plastic sheets or towels to make cleanup easier.

  3. Boiled vs. Raw Eggs: For less mess, you might want to start with boiled eggs. For more of a challenge (and fun), raw eggs are the way to go.

  4. Teamwork and Trust: This game is all about fun and laughter, so encourage participants to enjoy the process and not worry about the mess.

We had a lot of fun this one, despite getting very messy, and spending a little money on eggs. The messier it got the more fun it was though. If you play this game, we would love to hear about it in the comments! Or post about it on social media and tag us @keksibakery!

Stay tuned for more fun and games next week. Until then, keep cracking up with your family!
